Description
Sencha Ariake is a fresh and invigorating Japanese green tea with a vegetal, slightly iodine scent. Delicious in the morning. A good introduction to sencha.
It is harvested annually in June from Yabukita and Okumidori cultivars.
Sencha are the most famous Japanese teas. This type of tea is characterised by its folded leaves. It can be enjoyed at any time of day hot or iced.
Sencha Ariake goes very well with grilled fish such as red mullet, sea bream, sea bass and salmon, as well as shellfish such as prawns, scallops and clams. For those with a sweet tooth, it is ideal served with red fruit in a mousse or sorbet.

Suggestion of preparation
With the teapot or the tasting set: 2 minutes in water heated to 170°F.
With the Gong Fu Cha: infusions during 30-40 seconds.
With the Kyusu / Shiboridashi by successive 1 minute infusions.
Also delicious iced: steep 10g/0.4OZ in 50cl of water at room temperature 30min.
Remove the tea leaves and refrigerate
