Description

Yunnan Imperial Pu Erh, an invitation to well-being

In a few words

Deeply rooted in Chinese tradition, Imperial Pu Erh is the flagship of dark teas. Certified organic, this single-origin tea is appreciated for its complex profile featuring notes of damp wood, caramel, and humus. It is the ideal companion after a heavy meal to support digestion.

The expertise

This Pu Erh benefits from the traditional Shu process, which is an accelerated fermentation: for about 45 days, the yeasts and microorganisms naturally present on the leaves activate under the effect of humidity and heat. Bitterness and astringency are completely erased, resulting in a dark liqueur with a round mouthfeel.

Tasting notes

It reveals an authentic and bold character combining deep woody, damp, and sweet notes. Far from being harsh, this aromatic intensity is immediately balanced by an enveloping, thick texture, supported by a gentle sweet flavor.

A true tea for aging

This is the fascinating characteristic of this tea: much like a fine wine, it improves with age. Pu Erh travels through the years without ever losing quality thanks to its continuous natural fermentation, acquiring more smoothness and roundness over time.

A daily well-being ritual

Traditionally celebrated for its comforting properties, it is renowned in China for aiding digestion. The perfect partner after a rich meal or during festive occasions, it fits seamlessly into your daily routine.
