Description
An exceptional Gyokuro with a deep, complex umami flavor.
This unique green tea comes from Hebizuka, the mysterious "Snake Hill," one of the highest tea gardens in Japan. Local legend has it that this garden is scattered with rocks that shelter snakes. On this unique high-altitude terroir, the producer, Mr. Nakamura, meticulously tends to his precious tea bushes.
The result of exquisite craftsmanship, its fine leaves are needle-rolled and harvested exclusively by hand—a rare practice in the Land of the Rising Sun. Upon brewing, this exceptional Grand Cru reveals a translucent green liquor with a remarkably smooth texture and a complex, outstanding umami flavor.
On the palate, Gyokuro Serpent Stone impresses with its extraordinary floral notes. Subtle violet accents intertwine with fresh vegetal and marine nuances, enhanced by rich buttery notes, light fruity touches, and a delicate vanilla finish. A tea with a truly unique character.
All these qualities make it a proud representative of the finest Shizuoka has to offer.
