Hailing from a shrub of the Fabaceae family, rooibos is often dubbed "red bush tea", though it doesn't originate from the tea plant.
Rooibos Khoisan takes its name from the Khoikhoi and San Peoples – the earliest inhabitants of South Africa's Cederberg region – who preserved and passed on this plant's traditional uses.
In this arid terroir, germination is spurred into life by fire, awakening dormant seeds. Its flamboyant crimson hue mirrors the fire-infused earth that nourished it. A fresh, light rooibos with a smooth mouthfeel and a hint of sweetness, the perfect evening brew.
This rooibos is organically grown and has been certified by an approved independent testing center.
