This cup is finished in a mottled glossy glaze inspired by blue hydrangeas, or ajisai in Japanese, which bloom during the rainy season. Made of porcelain, it holds 12cl and is ideal for enjoying all kinds of teas and herbal teas.
Made in Japan by Mr Akihiro Ito, its blue glints are a result of the glaze reacting to the high temperature in the kiln, and are unique to each cup.
Together with the Ajisai teapot, it makes a set that will delight fans of Japanese craftsmanship.
